The City of Goldsboro's water treatment plant will convert from a chloraminated distribution system to a free chlorine distribution system beginning May 3, 2023, for a period of six weeks. We will convert back to a chloraminated system on June 14, 2023. Free chlorine is a much stronger disinfectant than chloramines and this is an annual conversion that we implement to further safeguard the City's water supply. We will alert you again before we return to a chloraminated system.
